
KGKirk Aeronautics Corporation Participates in 2nd National Disaster Resilience Month of Summit 2024
On November 5, 2024, KGKirk Aeronautics Corp. actively participated in the 2nd National Disaster Resilience Month Summit held at the La Union Convention Center in Barangay Sevilla, San Fernando City.

Local Chief Executives, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Officers, members of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) were brought together by the event.
Private partners, disaster risk reduction and management practitioners, and various individuals collaborate in “Disaster Risk Reduction and Management” efforts.

The KGKirk Aeronautics booth initiatives not only serve as an information desk, but also provide a great avenue for networking.
The KGKirk Team met and greeted delegates, participants, and key team members together, fostering authentic relationships and improving comfort levels on both sides before the event started.
Hon. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” A. Ortega-David, the Provincial Governor of La Union and Chairperson of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), officially opened the sum. She emphasized the importance of collaboration in building resilient communities in her welcome address.
The guest of honor and speaker was Asec. Ana Carmela V. Remigio, the Presidential Assistant for Northern Luzon, as she gave a speech.
Ms. Carmelita A. Laverinto, the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Civil Defense Region 1 (OCD RO1) and Acting Chairperson of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, introduced the guest of honor and speaker.
Capt. Walter R. Halabaso of KGKirk Aeronautics Corp., outlined KGKirk’s services and capabilities to Disaster Preparedness, Response, Rescue, Relief and Recovery.
He also discussed how KGKirk’s unwavering experience and active participation in “Disaster Management” highlights the importance of KGKirk’s aviation capabilities for “Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery”, and Recovery Operations to the community.

KGKirk Aeronautics Corp. presented the Office of Civil Defense Region 1 – OCD RO1 with a complimentary one-time access pass in acknowledgment of their invitation enabling them to utilize and experience KGKirk facilities at Laoag City International Airport. KGKirk’s “Ground Handling” capabilities will support future “Disaster Preparedness and Response Efforts” through this access.
The public and private sectors successfully fostered partnerships at the 2nd National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) Summit in 2024.
