February 2, 2025 – The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) and KGKirk Aeronautics Corp. solidified a groundbreaking partnership through a ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing at ASCOT’s Zabali campus in Baler, Aurora.
This collaboration paves the way for on-the-job training, faculty industry immersion, curriculum enhancement, applied research, and certification programs, ensuring ASCOT students gain hands-on experience and industry-aligned aviation and aircraft maintenance skills. By bridging the gap between education and industry, ASCOT strengthens its mission of producing academically competent and technically proficient graduates for today’s competitive workforce.
The MOU was signed by ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes and representatives of KGKirk Aeronautics Corp., marking the beginning of a dynamic collaboration that will give students real-world aviation exposure.

To honor the occasion, KGKirk Aeronautics Corp. flew from Laoag International Airport (RPLI) to Baler Airport (RPUR) aboard their Piper Aztec RP-C2263, demonstrating their commitment to fostering aviation education and industry linkages.
Following the signing, ASCOT officials and KGKirk representatives toured ASCOT’s campuses, including the Bazal Campus, where they explored the institution’s lush environment and natural resources—further emphasizing the balance between technological advancement and environmental awareness.
This partnership marks a new era of opportunities for ASCOT students, bringing them closer to the high-flying world of aviation.
